Meet Larry!
The Freedom Physician
CEO & Founder
Larry Daugherty is an adventuring radiation oncologist and father of 5. He and his family live in Eagle River, Alaska. Larry landed in Alaska after chasing a childhood dream, to mush dogs in the Arctic wilderness. He has competed as a professional dog musher a total of five times in the Iditarod, the 1,0000-mile "Last Great Race," which traverses through interior and coastal Alaska, some of the most rugged terrain on earth.
He is an accomplished high-altitude mountain climber, having climbed two of the five tallest peaks in the world (Mt Everest and Mt Lhotse) in less than 24 hours. Larry is the co-founder of Radiating Hope, the leading nonprofit in radiation oncology, which aims to improve access to cancer care in developing countries. He has led climbing expeditions all over the globe, including two expeditions to Mt Everest, Denali, Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua, Ama Dablam, Alapamayo, and many others. He owns and operates the worldwide adventure company Rad Global Adventures.
Larry is a successful real estate investor and currently owns approximately $28 million in assets, nearly 200 doors of multifamily real estate. He coaches like-minded physician-investors through his mentorship program called The
Freedom Physician.
Larry currently focuses on commercial multifamily real estate across Alaska. He is passionate about value-add opportunities through rehab and optimization of systems and processes.
